Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

Mrs. Petteys was a kindergarten teacher at Moreau Elementary School in upstate NY. My son was fortunate to have her as his teacher. Mrs. Petteys (and all of the teachers at Moreau Elementary) is a wonderful person who gives all to her students and their families. My son is a shy little boy who has some learning difficulties. Mrs. Petteys always made him feel good about himself. He never came home upset because he wasn't able to pick up on things as quickly as his classmates. She would always bring things around to what he was good at and how he could use those strengths to help him in the areas in which he was struggling.

It is difficult as a parent to see your child struggling and not be able to fix it. Mrs. Petteys was a wonderful advocate for my son and offered many great suggestions for my ex-husband and I to use to help our son.

I saw children, many of whom had moved on to middle and high school, come back to visit Mrs. Petteys. It was obvious that she formed a strong bond with the students that she taught as well as their parents.
