Our Family's Faithful Companion

Tucker joined our family shortly after my husband and I married, and he continued to be our family’s faithful companion throughout the years as we purchased our first home and expanded our brood by welcoming two children. He was a part of our family — his presence filled our lives with feelings of comfort, joy and security. We were Tucker’s people and he loved us fiercely. He always greeted us with his tail wagging and loved his daily walks, any opportunity to take a trip to the “puppy park” for a hike and swim, chasing tennis balls in the backyard and “singing” the happy birthday song. Tucker adapted easily to the addition of his human siblings, and he was their companion to play with and protect them from any threat of potential harm. Our children don’t know life without Tucker and if it was my choice they wouldn’t have to. But after eight great years we had to say “see ya later” to Tucker this weekend. I’ve found comfort in a rainbow displayed in the sky on the way to take Tucker to the vet for the last time, and I know that he’s now in his new home where we’ll be able to again chase him one day.
