As a parent of a special needs child you are one of the most dedicated caregivers around. You need to take care of all of your child’s basic needs and then you add on extra challenges. This can be extremely overwhelming for you. Here is a list of ten great Twitter accounts for you and your special needs child.

1. Handicap This

Handicap This offers a sense of humor when it comes to dealing with disabilities. This comedy duo offers lessons in perseverance. They offer a non-judgment space for you and your child to relax and enjoy their unique sense of humor.

2. Learning Ally

This is a nonprofit organization. They work to provide special needs children with the reading resources they require. If your special needs child has trouble with reading, Learning Ally can help. They have access to over 80,000 audio books and textbooks. While the organization promotes reading resources to children with dyslexia, they offer resources for other children with special needs as well.

3. Best Buddies

What is one thing that your child would love to have? A best buddy. This profile offers communities for your special needs child. They offer events for your family and opportunities for your child to get together with people who look beyond their disability. Best Buddies also offer leadership development.
