Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

To my students,

I can't believe our school is closed. I wish we were going back. I wish we had more time.

I am desperate for one more morning meeting, one more afternoon on the playground, one more chance to say "See you tomorrow!"

There are so many books unread. So many pictures left to draw. So many discoveries left unmade.

There are songs we never sang. Games we never played. Lessons we never learned.

We have so many moments we will miss. So many things left unfinished.

But, please know we are not done. Our building may be closed, but I am still your teacher. You are still my students. We are still a community.

I know it won't feel the same. It definitely won't be easy. But, we will find a way.

Our school year as we wanted it to be -- that's over. Now, we must do things differently.

But, we can still do it together. Because no amount of distance will change how much I love being your teacher. No matter the time apart, we will stay connected.

Because even though the door will stay closed and the tables will stay empty -- my heart is full because I still have all of you as my students.

Love,
Your Teacher
