What if you could hang your hat on the fact that you show up every day?
What if your end-of-the-day grade isn't based upon
how clean your house is,
if the dishes are done,
whether the laundry tower has been demolished,
if your kids had the proper serving of fruits and vegetables for the day,
the level of hotmessness you rocked,
how many tantrums were had,
who kept their pants on all day,
and
who used all of their manners words each time they spoke?
What if your end-of-the-day grade is solely based upon there being a child, who, after the adventures of the day, still believes that the sun rises and sets with you?
I think I get I'm gonna score an "A" for today, and I'm gonna presume that you probably will too.
Don't mind us; we're just a bunch of overachievers.
