I'm raising unbreakable children.
Children who won't shatter if ever their world does.
Children who will dodge sharp words intended to cut them down.
Children who will not be pushed around.
Children who have their feet planted sturdily in a foundation built from core values from which they cannot and will not be swayed.
Children who don't crack when being hammered with criticism.
Children who won't snap merely because another decides to.
Children who don't burst with every unsuspecting puncture.
Children who refuse to unravel when they provoked.
Children who welcome the shifts,
ride the waves,
and roll with the tide.
I'm raising unbreakable children;
kind kids, but unbreakable;
compassionate, but unbreakable;
empathetic, but unbreakable;
respectful, but unbreakable;
and humble kids, who are
tough as hell,
sweet as pie,
and forever unbreakable.
And I won't apologize for it.
