I'm flawed, and I've just got to say that if you don't like it, well, then get lost.
And, I mean that in the least jerky way possible — promise.
Get lost and find yourself a tribe of perfect people -- just like you -- because that's where you will be comfortable, and where others will be exactly what you want and expect them to be, often exceeding your expectations, every darn time.
But, me, I'll stay over here with the imperfect,
the defectives who are anything but,
because they are my people; they are the real thing.
They are all that is right in my world because they don't pretend to know it all, and they'll be the first to inform you that they absolutely ain't it all.
Sure it's impressive to have your sh*t together, but I find it more intriguing, fun, and laudable when a person doesn't;
when someone is a flat out mess but claims it,
owns the crap out of it,
works to improve upon it a bit,
but recognizes the disguised beauty in their authentic imperfection.
I want to surround myself with heaps of those kinds of people.
I'm flawed, and if you don't like it, get lost so that you may find your people elsewhere.
But, if you are delightfully shoddy, like me, then you're my people, and I think we should be friends.
