Being a Mom of an almost 4 year old and 2 year old I have little advice to give on heading back to school so for this post I'm asking you for the advice.

My son has always been at home and in August, for the first time, I will be dropping him off at Preschool and leaving him behind.

I always thought I would be the Mom that could let them go and now that Preschool is staring me in the face I find myself asking, "can I let him go?" How did I get from those endless nights of nursing to him running out the door with his back pack? I know he is ready and somewhere I know that I am ready too but I'm asking you how did you deal with letting them go for the first time?

I have shown nothing but excitement around my son and I have already taken the day off from work. I'm planning on making his favorite breakfast and making his first day full of joy. What do you recommend? Is there something you wish you would have done looking back on your first time?

From one Mommy to another...Thank you.

UPDATE:

Here is our first day of PreK

I did make it to the front office away from Jackson's view before I cried. He did great! Then came day two...

The first week was rough with tears every morning but buying him his own lunch box eased his anxiety and he seems to be more happy.

We quickly learned how many germs come with the start of school. After a course of antibiotics and two days out of school we are back up and running.

Thank you for all of the advice!
