Our first born was born with his lungs 3/4 filled with fluid. They told us he had pneumonia and took him within his first two hours of life to NICU where he spent a week there. At first it was touch and go but the staff of the NICU was beyond amazing. The doctor knelt at my bedside on his knees praying for our child, the nurses did the same. They sat with me, got me a hospital room inside the NICU only feet away from our son and showed genuine kindness and love toward us. Our son is now 10 and when we run into the doctor and nurses they still remember us and ask how he’s doing. In the midst of a scary time they brought a touch of heaven into our lives and we are forever grateful.
