Delicious, hearty steel-cut oatmeal slow-cooked overnight with turmeric, maca powder, chia seeds and more.

Slow Cooker Superfood Oatmeal

  • Yield: 4-6 servings
  • Prep Time: 10 min
  • Cooking Time: 8 hr


  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 1 cup diced strawberries
  • 1 13.5-ounce can coconut milk
  • 2 ½ cups coconut beverage
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon salt


  1. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker.
  2. Turn slow cooker on low heat for 7-8 hours.
  3. If possible, stir once or twice during the cooking process to ensure that all of the ingredients meld together.
