FRIENDS.

This is eleven.

And it's beautiful.

Not quite a teen.

Not a "kid."

This is makeovers,

mad libs,

and hibachi fun.

This is laughter.

SO.
MUCH.
LAUGHTER.

This is Chick-fil-A waffle fries and fountain soda.

This is mall walking.

This is Legally Blonde - one and two.

This is beachin’ it.

This is bowling.

This is pool time.

This is a dinner you dress up for.

This is "mama be nearby, but please give us some space."

This is me saying, “okay.”

This is staying up late.

This is sleeping in.

This is what you want.

This is what you need.

This unique space in between is where we find ourselves today.

This is the brink of something new.

This is a new you. Or rather, the same you, just ever so slightly more grown up.
