Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

We had a night y’all.
I came home from work to a full blown overly tired, sun kissed, chlorine induced 7 year old epic stage 12 meltdown.

It lasted a good 2 hours.
Maybe 3.

I am so tired.
My husband is out of town.
I just got back from working a 2 week long labor intensive event.
My health still isn’t 100%.

When I tell you…My hair is exhausted.
But we made it.

And here’s the thing.
I have off days.
Of course my littles are going to too.

Sometimes little bodies have big emotions.
It’s ok to let them.
Did I want to cry in a corner? Yep.
Did I cry in a corner? Nope.
Did I walk outside and eat my dinner while hiding under a tree? Yep.

We do what we have to.
And at the end of the day…
I’m thankful.
I’m grateful.
Because this overly tired 7 year old will wake up tomorrow a smiley ball of energy.

And I get to hug him.
And love him.
And watch him laugh and live in the moment.
Don’t let the off days overshadow the gratitude.

Goodnight sweet boy.
Tomorrow will be better.

Love & Hugs,

Nicki, Momming all the Boys
