Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

Put on the skates, Mama.

I know, I know.

You’re tired.

I get it. I really do.

This year has taken more than its given you.

I know it will be easier to sit on the sidelines, and wave to your silly crew as they burn off some energy.

But seriously.

Put on the skates.

I promise it will be worth it.

Recently, I took my own advice, and for two hours...

We skated.

We laughed.

We raced.

We made snow angels on the ice.

We pretended that the world outside wasn’t trying to take us down at every turn.

For two hours, life was normal again.

Lord knows we all need some positive to overshadow the negative of this year.

So, put on the skates, Mama.

Fall (because you will fall) and laugh at the chaos.

Listen to the giggles.

See those smiles light up their eyes on their mask covered faces.

Put on the skates, Mama.

You won’t regret the memories made.
