Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

This thought crossed my mind as I hauled another tub of LEGOs into the kitchen.

My littles are big enough to imagine and build and argue over those pesky, miniature parts, but they’re not yet strong enough to hoist up those big storage containers we keep them in.

They need mom’s help.

They sit down to dip nuggets in sauces and can’t pry those sticky packets open themselves.

They need mom’s help.

They learn to spell out their names on paper and turn half the letters around backwards again.

They need mom’s help.

And I consider all the other ways we moms are spending our energy and our days pouring into their hearts, nurturing their gifts and lifting them up, and I know each effort has purpose and more value than we may even know.

We repeat sight words as we serve sandwiches at lunchtime.

We read scripture as we study God’s plan and pray together.

We pull up socks and tie shoes as they finish their cereal.

We ask them to stay seated and just try one more bite.

We handle so many changing emotions changing seasons and help bring more security and stability into their day.

Because we know they need mom’s help.

And mom will -always- try to help.
