Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

Mommas, I see you. I see you always prepared with snacks to calm a hangry toddler. I see you making sure you never run out of goldfish crackers, because OH THE HORROR. I see you grabbing food for yourself that meets the one handed eating requirement to keep the second available for whatever else is needed to be done. I see you drinking your cold coffee after warming it up 3 times. I see you taking care of everyone and it is incredible to witness. I see you being the best caretaker for those babies, toddlers, kiddos, teenagers, and grown babies.

In the midst of that beautiful caring, who takes care of momma? Self care is more than just an opportunity for a well placed hashtag on self-care Sundays. Grounding ourselves in a moment of self-care for the mind, body, and spirit can create positivity and momentum throughout the day. I am finding that a commitment to caring for ourselves is not selfish, but in fact, generous. It creates more energy, more positivity, more compassion for the rest of the day. I’m striving to create more frequent moments of self care. How do you devote time and opportunity towards self care?
