I'm sure there's a better way to parent
than letting your kids eat on the floor on an old Christmas table cloth while they watch on screens.
I'm sure there's a better way to parent
that involves serving up something other than leftover burgers and chik-fil-a nuggets.
I'm sure there's a better way to parent
that doesn't allow your kids to stay in their pajamas all day.
I'm sure there's a better way to parent
than letting your kids' pool time qualify as a shower.
I'm sure there's a better way to parent
that doesn't, not even occasionally, use bribery or snack incentives.
I'm sure there's a better way to parent
than to reactively yell at your kids out of pure frustration or exhaustion.
I'm sure there's a better way to parent
where kids never see their parents argue and parents never ever argue with their kids.
I'm sure there's a better way to parent.
But it's not my way.
And my way is the right way FOR ME and mine.
Just as your way is the right way FOR YOU and yours.
Because for our kids,
there is NO BETTER WAY to parent them than how we already are — in the unique way that works for each of us.
