I have four kids and have never bought a halloween costume, at least not for Halloween. But I also don't sew and am the type of mom who forgot I was supposed to come read a book to my daughter's class today until I walked her in the door (and then borrowed a book from her teacher!). So you know if I can make these costumes, they are super easy.

Gymbo from Gymboree

You can more or less see how I made the tutu for this costume here. I used regular office dot stickers to make the shirt and party hat polka dotted and the hot glue to attach the red hair onto the party hat. Her suspenders are just carpet tape with two orange buttons hot glued on, and I made her bow from a piece of felt.

No Sew Elmo

Elmo was another costume requiring a tutu. Instructions can more or less be found here.

This year she would like to be Curious George. Let's hear it for an entire childhood of licensed characters! Not sure how I'm going to work a tutu into this one.
