For those at home with preschool-aged children:
She does her schoolwork on my back
She does her school work for a snack
She does it a little at a time
She’s the reason I need tequila with lime
We get some done
Though it’s not a ton
A little each day
But whole lot of play
Tv time of course
And riding mommy like a horse
The pressure is gone
She is not my pawn
She will learn
But it’s her turn
To call the shots
On connecting the dots
Cutting, gluing and art
It’s not my show but I have a part
To help her grow
It’s got to flow
Force is lame
And it’s not my game
Lighten up
Grab a giant coffee cup
AND REMEMBER YOUR PRESCHOOLER WILL BE JUST FINE.
