One way to cut back on holiday stress and anxiety is organize a social event where everyone does their personal minimal effort and instead focuses on the fun. I didn't even bother with makeup.

Body Kindness Activity: Host a Minimalist Potluck Party

Hosting a minimalist potluck party is a a great way to eat well and spend less without having to do all the work yourself. Everybody brings one dish to share and you end up with a colorful feast – and hopefully leftovers! Create a sign-up sheet or come up with a theme like “you’re favorite childhood dish”. (One of my friends brought buttered noodles!)

This is a photo of a recent “Friendsgiving” potluck. We laughed our butts off and enjoyed delicious food without any stress. I didn’t even clean for them – and I recommend you don’t either. Nobody cares. They are happy to be socializing and seeing you (and your beautiful mess).
