It's that time of the year again where our kids want to make special homemade gifts for their friends and their loved ones, leaving us, parents, scouring the internet for unique ideas.

If you cringe at the thought of a trip to the craft store; these three ideas will become your go-to solutions for years to come. They are not only kid-approved but super easy to make with "ingredients" you already have at home. That's right! The kitchen to the rescue here.
1. Conversation Pretzel Hearts
If you can melt chocolate, you can make these chocolate pretzel hearts with the kids, and they are a great yummy treat to gift their friends.
All you need are pretzels, chocolate, and conversation hearts.

2. Salt Cookie Magnet Hearts
If you can bake cookies, you can make these magnets your loved ones will keep for many years to come!
The salt dough comes together in minutes, and once they are cooled, the kids can paint them and decorate as they wish. Once dried, stick a magnet on the back and grandma (and friends) will be admiring their work of art for years to come!

3. Homemade Play-dough Baggies

Making homemade play dough is super easy since it comes together in a pot and you can make it any color you like with flavored drink mix powder. Make a couple of batches, divide the dough into individual bags, and gift them to friends!

And there you have it, three simple ideas for the not-so-crafty parent for our kids to make for their friends and loved ones.
