I started this blog in August 2013, as a way to share my passion for cooking, baking and creating with other young adults. The intentions for this blog were simple: share with other young adults, my love for food as an art form and a way to entertain and meet new friends. People my age are often not interested in hosting dinner parties, creative baking and desserts, wine tasting or sampling the latest Chevre, and I want to change that. I believe the above is so important. Not only is cooking a life skill, it is a way to express, share and nurture. Since starting the blog I have attracted several thousand followers and am growing rapidly. As I continue to develop my online brand I would like to expand into other media including print and video or broadcasting.
I grew up in Northern New York and coastal Florida and spent my summers on Nantucket Island, playing tennis, and baking with my mother. At an early age I developed a love for cooking, entertaining, and home décor, and later a love for event planning. I like to say that I have been planning events and creating recipes since I was tall enough to reach the kitchen counter. Between recipe planning, to picking the perfect throw pillow, to fabulous fashion style, I like to provide other young adults tips and tricks to living a “preppy and glamorous life”.
I would love to have the opportunity to share my passion for cooking, baking, and creating with others on the Today Show. Like I said above, my overall vision for this blog was to change the way young adults view cooking and entertaining.
Thanks for the opportunity to share a small part of my story with you. I look forward to sharing more quick and simple recipes with you.
