normally I make a standing rib roast for the holidays, but this year the price of beef is so high so considering an type of roast. Local grocery store is advertising a NY Strip Roast ($4.99 p/lb) vs. $7.99 for the rib roast. So my question is, how to cook a strip roast. never heard of it and not sure 1/will it be tough and 2/ how to cook. Thinking slowly with lots of seasoning like the rib roast but unsure. Help from anyone out there who has suggestions on how to prepare. Thanks!
