Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

My husband and I have unconventional work schedules.

We reserve one day a week for just us.

In this time, we connect. In whatever way that looks like.

Deep conversations, long hikes, movies in bed.

We know this is vital to growing together, not apart.

We know this is vital to our children's happiness.

We know this is vital for our own happiness.

Getting married is not an achievement.

We don't stay married because "we should".

We stay married because we choose each other, everyday.

We have to be purposeful in that choice.

We have to set intentions to not just exist together, but to thrive together.

I will not just exist next to someone, because I "should", that is not how I am wired.

Like many areas in your life, you must choose connection instead of conflict.

Make no mistake, this is a choice.

As our marriage has evolved, we have heard many times how "lucky" we are.

Luck has nothing to do with it.

Will you choose connection today??
