Sometimes it’s hard.

This thing we call marriage.

‘Cause sometimes it’s hard.

This thing we call life.

But more than sometimes,

more like all of the time,

I want to do both with him.

Because with him, I am capable of hard things.

And with him I am capable of all things.

Because with the support and love of a good man,

I feel like a good woman.

And true love isn’t like the movies.

It’s not all about being

wined and dined,

cuddled and coddled,

or grand gestures and even grander vacations.

True love is hard work.

It’s work that feels work.

It’s work that sometimes feels like play.

It’s work that feels costly.

It’s work from which the gains are unquantifiable.

But here’s what I know for damn certain -

I want to

work alongside,

play and be with,

and freakin' love him for all eternity.

Sometimes it’s hard,

yeah,

this thing we call marriage and this thing we call life.

But…

more than sometimes,

more like all of the time,

I want to do both with him.
