My name is Teri and I am the mother of twin daughters, Kennedy and Kallahan, who were born at 32 weeks. I went into the hospital at 27 weeks and remained there until their birth. They were born on November 25, 1997. Kennedy was delivered first and weighed 3lbs 13 ounces and Kalli was delivered 12 minutes later at 3 lbs 15 and 1/2 ounces. Kennedy was placed under oxygen overnight and was listed as optimistic while Kalli was ventilated and listed as guarded. They spent 28 days in the hospital. Although it was difficult, we remained hopeful, prayed, and never waivered in our belief that they would be ok. I was treated by the best doctors and nurses whom I remain friends with to this day. My daughters are going to be 20 in a couple of weeks and both are off in college doing well. My husband and I were blessed with two angels and they continue to bless everyone's lives each and every day. I wish everyone could know and love them the way their family, friends, and our community know them. They are smart, kind, caring, giving, and the most beautiful human beings I know. The journey has been well worth it. If you are at the start of your journey, I am here to tell you that it only gets better!
