I am a lucky mom to four girls. I don't have any secrets on how to raise kind children. I honestly think children are born kind. It's how they see others around them that can affect how they act. I try to lead by example the best that I can.

When my oldest was 9 she really impressed me. We were at my nephews birthday party. It was a small venue with arcade games in the lobby while we waited to play laser tag. I gave my kids some quarters to spend while we waited. I knew Hailey was at the machine that you win stuffed animals for a long time but I didn't know what she was doing. I saw her finally win a stuffed animal and she got a huge smile on her face. Then she immediately turned around and handed it to a three year old girl. That little girl had played a few times but didn't win andShe was upset. Hailey didn't think twice about spending all her money to make that little girl happy. Those are the moments when I feel like i must be doing something right.
