Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

I’m not trying to be perfect.

I’m just trying to be what you deserve.

I’m not trying to be difficult.

I’m just trying to raise you to not be.

I’m not trying to be a pain in your rear.

I’m just trying to stay calm and patient when you’re being a pain in mine.

I’m not trying to mess you up.

I’m just trying to give myself grace when it feels as though I am.

I’m nowhere close to being the best version of myself.

I’m just trying to believe that, every day, I’m making some progress towards being her.

I’m not trying to get sympathy.

I’m just trying to let you in on what a mama feels.

I’m not trying to feel all the feels.

I’m

just

that

lucky.

And tired?
Sure.

Consistently bewildered?
You bet.

Scared?
Hell yes.

Happy?
Oh yes.

So.

F*cking.

Happy.

And grateful.

And honored.

To be a mama x3.

I’m not trying to be perfect.

I’m just trying to be what they deserve.

Dear God I pray that you’ll help me be what they deserve.
