Pretzel Turtles and Pretzel Turtle Spiders

Ingredients

  • Small pretzel rings
  • Rolo candies (little caramels)
  • Walnut or pecan halves
  • Chocolate coating or dipping chocolate for drizzle, optional

Preparation

  1. See video below for a full tutorial!
  2. Preheat oven to 350.
  3. Spray a baking sheet with Pam (non-stick spray).
  4. Put pretzel rings on sheet.
  5. Unwrap Rolos and put a Rolo in each pretzel ring.
  6. Place Rolo pretzels in oven.
  7. Turn oven off.
  8. Cook for only 1-2 minutes or until just softened, not melted.
  9. Remove from oven and gently smash walnut or pecan half onto each Rolo.
  10. Cool on sheet and remove when completely cool.
  11. Can be refrigerated to cool.
  12. To make Spooky Spiders, break mini pretzel rings to create legs.
  13. Stick the legs into the softened caramel and let set.
  14. If caramel has already set, use melted chocolate coating or dipping chocolate to "glue" legs on.
