Chocolate Dipped Blood Oranges

Dessert so clean it's guilt free. Satisfy your sweet tooth with only 3 ingredients. This recipe makes an excellent dessert, but also lovely for parties and brunch!

Chocolate Dipped Blood Oranges

  • Servings: 6-8 wedges
  • Yield: 4 servings
  • Prep Time: 5 hr
  • Cooking Time: 15 hr

Ingredients

  • 2 blood oranges, peeled and separated into wedges
  • 1 organic fair trade dark chocolate bar
  • coconut oil spray or wax paper

Preparation

  1. ​Peel the blood oranges and gently separate into wedges.
  2. Using a double boiler melt the chocolate over medium heat. An alternative to a double boiler is a glass bowl over a small pot of water stirring until melted.
  3. Spray a plate with coconut oil so for the dipped orange wedges or used waxed paper.
  4. Dip one end of the orange wedges into the melted chocolate and then gently place on the oiled plate. Continue until all the blood orange wedges have been dipped in chocolate
  5. Refrigerate for 1 hour and serve.

I used a cherry chili chocolate because I like the spicy, sweet and sour flavors all together.
