Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know, the one that says us mamas must do it all and then feel guilty when we are unable to.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know the one that says new or veteran parents must struggle in silence.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know, the one that says if you're going to complain then you must keep quiet.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know, the one that says if you grumble, you're ungrateful.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know, the one that says we're all in competition with one another.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know, the one that says since we have different beliefs and methods, we can't be friends.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know, the one that says perfection is attainable, and you must be forceful in your pursuit of it.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know, the one that says you shouldn't have to work so hard for something that is meant to be.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know, the one that says any of us is better than another.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know, the one that pins us each against each other.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know, the one that places blame.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

You know the one that states this world and its people are unkind.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

But, I'm just one person.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

But it's going to take more than me.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

As so many of us are.

I'm just trying to change the narrative.

And, so are you,

you,

and you.

And, with continued effort and perseverance, we will.

We're all just trying to change the narrative, and it can and will happen if we keep

writing,

talking,

sharing,

connecting,

understanding,

empathizing,

and supporting.

We're all just trying to change the narrative.

You know, to one that says we're all in this life together with two primary purposes:

1. To live a full, joyful, growth-provoking life we are proud of and can enjoy.

2. To do and say whatever it is we can to help those around us live a full, joyful, growth-provoking life they are proud of and can enjoy.

I'm just trying to change the narrative, and so are you.

Let's keep at it.
