Turkey still partially frozen?

We have a 14# frozen turkey purchased early on Tuesday afternoon. The wrapping said thaw for 24-48 hours in the refrigerator, but I've read that it takes 4-5 hours per pound to thaw in the refrigerator which would actually be 56-60 hours. How do I know if it's completely thawed in the middle? If it isn't, how long do I need to plan on cooking it? If completely thawed, the directions say 3 to 3 3/4 hour. I know how to use a meat thermometer but I need to know what time to put my turkey in the oven for a 3 pm dinner.
