I'm a working mom who loves parenting hacks. It doesn't hurt that I have a great employer who understands the challenges of a working mom (shout out to https://www.househeroes.com/) and lets me have a flexible schedule that allows for travel. Excuse my writing here - I don't have much time to edit and get my photos in order, but I think I have some things to help. My kids are 3.5 and 1.5.

1. Hard Case Container for Snacks - Are you tired of your snacks turning into a crumbly mess? I pack Kashi bars, little baggies with veggie sticks or crackers and any other snacks likely to get smushed into a small hard case, and that goes into my diaper bag. The box I use is the "Small Clear Sterilite FlipTop Storage Box". No more crushed snacks! https://www.usplastic.com/cata...

2. Car Stash - for road trips and day to day, I keep a small bag in the car that has diapers, wipes (of course!), change of clothes for each kid. One tip - For the extra clothes I keep in the car, I always put in sizes that are bigger than my kids are currently wearing (either from hand me downs that people have given me or things I have purchased that are just too big). I've rarely had to use those change of clothes and I don't want to have to change them out each time my child is in a new size. By putting a size up as the extra clothes, I'm hopefully saving myself from having to switch them out over and over again.

3. Entertainment on the Plane (Screen Time Edition)- Most longer flights have in flight kids shows. On a friend's recommendation, I bought my kids BuddyPhone headphones from Amazon. They fit both my kids well, and they come with an splitting adapter that I could plug my earphones into so I could hear what they were hearing at anytime. They also have a max volume to keep your kids ears safe. https://www.target.com/p/buddy... That said, don't forget to charge up your ipad for those shorter flights (or extra long fights) - some shorter flights don't offer in flight entertainment and it is good to have a backup option if you run out of shows on those longer flights.

4. Kid Leash - My son was a runner. In busy places or places where I felt he could get hurt running away from me, I put him on a leash. This was good for both of us because he got a little more freedom than having to be confined to the stroller all the time or old someone's hand all the time, but I also knew he was safe and couldn't run away from me. You can see him below eating his strawberries with a little blue harness on - that was linked to his leash. We were able to go on short hikes through the Arizona desert and I didn't have to be afraid of him running into a huge cactus! I also had him wear his leash to crowded places. For a long time, I always kept a spare leash in my diaper bag. https://www.bedbathandbeyond.c...

5. Outfit Pictures - For more complicated outfits (like playing in the snow) or if I know someone else will have to be dressing my child, I take a picture of all the components of the outfit and then put them in their own packing cube. This ensures that I have all the components I need (hat, gloves, boots) and that someone else will know exactly how to get my son dressed!
