Fun activities with kids help build stronger family relationships, and are a big influence on your kid’s development. When you and your kids enjoy special times together, you learn to see the world from your kid's point of view, and you learn more about your kids’ preferences.

Enjoying fun activities together is also a great way of giving your kid(s), your full attention, which sends a message that he/she’s the most important thing in your life. In addition to that, having fun together will make both you and your kid, much happier. In this article, we are going to give you 5 fun activities to enjoy with your kids and make yourself happier.

1. Visit the Park


If you are in Melbourne, one of the most enjoyable activities to enjoy with your kids is visiting the Luna Park. Right from the moment you step through the famous smiling mouth of the amazing Luna Park, you and your kid(s) will find yourselves in a world filled with great carnival flair.

Luna Park is famous for its' Great Scenic Railway roller coaster; which is a big wooden coaster which speeds around the park's edge. Apart from this, Luna Park has lots of other great rides and experiences which makes it a must visit for families with kids.

2. Paintballing

Melbourne Zoo is one of Australia's oldest zoo, and is a great place to visit especially with kids. The Melbourne Zoo is located in a very beautiful and serene location which is just 2 miles north of city center. Here you'll find more than 320 wildlife species from all over the world.

Some of the animals you will see include, but not limited to; lions, elephants, tigers, penguins, among many others. The zoo makes for an exciting great day out for your whole family, and will keep your kid(s) fully entertained for many hours, whilst providing them with the much needed physical activity.

At Melbourne Zoo, your kids can role play being a veterinarian, zookeeper, or even horticulturalist. Through role playing, your kids will also learn about how zoos take care of animals. If you want to join in fun, there are adult sized costumes for parents.

4. Check Out the Collingwood Children's Farm

This children's farm is great place for families to visit. It provides access to all kinds of farmyard animals, and makes for a fun country experience for the city dwellers. You and your kids can explore the farm, see farm animals, and even get involved with the farm work.

This farm is a great place for your kid(s) to get familiar with various farm animals. Your family will also get to learn how to milk cows, how to feed them, how to check for eggs beneath the chooks, and how to bottle feed lambs. You'll all get to enjoy many delightful experiences at this incredible farm.

5. Visit Melbourne Museum


If you are looking for a fun activity to enjoy with your kids that provides a combination of education, entertainment, and reasonable pricing, then the Melbourne Museum is the place to be.

This amazing Museum gives kids lots of chances to get hands on and play, with emphasis on engagement and involvement rather than simply feeding them information.
