Every pregnancy is different, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t learn a thing or two from the experts, as well as others who have been pregnant. At one time, you had two choices. You could talk to professionals and other mothers, or you could read books. Today, there is a third option: pregnancy apps. There are apps for everything these days, including pregnancy, which can tell you everything that you need to know. Here are our 10 favorite pregnancy apps that will tell you about everything from picking a name for your baby to tracking your contractions.

  • Baby Monitor 3G – Here is another app that you will want to have once your baby is born. Instead of spending a lot of money on a baby monitor, you can simply use this app. It lets you connect two smartphones so you can keep track of your baby, no matter where you are.
  • My Baby’s Beat – This is the first app that is made for listening to an unborn baby’s heartbeat. Launched in 2011, this app lets you record and share the sound of your baby’s heartbeat, and you don’t need to use any special accessories.
  • I’m Expecting – Enjoy weekly videos and daily updates that will help you to learn more about what is happening to your body, and how your baby is growing. If necessary, sell laptop computers that are old and invest in devices that are better for using this and other apps.
  • Mush – Here is an app that will let you connect with other mothers in your area. It also has parenting guides, forums, and even a buy and sell space where you can find all kinds of items for your baby. This is a great way to meet other new mothers so you can share ideas, feelings, and more.
  • Pregnancy Due Date Calculator – This app is easy to use. Simply enter the date of the first day of your last menstrual cycle, and the app will figure out when your baby is due, when the baby was conceived, how far along you are, etc.
  • Hoop – Are you having trouble finding family-friendly activities in your area? This app will change all that. All you have to do is sign up and enter your child’s age, and Hoop will give you a list of all of the activities for the age range in your area. This may not be a pregnancy app, but it is one that all mothers should be using.
  • Ovia Pregnancy – This is an excellent app that you can customize for your own personal needs. You can use it to track your weight gain during pregnancy, manage symptoms, manage nutrition, record prenatal medications and vitamins, and much more. Personalize it with your BMI, age, etc.
  • My Pregnancy Today – This is a neat app that will track your pregnancy, and offers a guide for every moment of our pregnancy. There are all kinds of helpful tools within this app, including a name finder, a kick counter, a contraction timer, and a whole lot more.
  • 50,000 Baby Names – Are you having trouble deciding on a name for your baby? Here is an app that has thousands of names, and you can use it to narrow down your choices. Invite friends to add names to lists as well, so you can come up with a name that is truly unique.
