Tiny but mighty

My son had to be delivered at 28 weeks 6 days due to complications with placenta previa. He was 3 lb 8 oz of perfection. I know babies are tougher than we tend to think (I have two older children) but his strength exceeded all expectations. He spent 7.5 weeks in the NICU and was able to go home at 36 weeks 3 days. He never dealt with an infection or setback of any kind. I had a harder time with his stay as I dealt with postpartum depression and feeling connected to him after such a traumatic event but my love for him grew every day. We consider ourselves incredibly lucky as many babies have a rollercoaster experience in the NICU but he never faltered. He is a stronger person than I will ever be. He is truly tiny but mighty.
