This one is for the mamas who can hang.

You know who you are.

You are the ones who should be breaking but refuse to crumble.

You are the ones who have or continue to struggle to conceive.

You are the ones whose own health took a hit during pregnancy and delivery.

You are the ones whose children became angels sooner than anyone should.

You are the ones whose children are fighting battles inside of hospitals or within their homes every single day.

You are the ones whose children, though not biologically their own, are every bit their own, despite what any uncompassionate nitwit says.

This one is for the mamas who can hang.

You know who you are.

You are the ones that followed every rule of “expecting.”

You are the ones that followed every rule of your heart instead of any expert’s advice.

You are the ones who spoke to your belly every day for nine months.

You are the ones who didn’t truly make a connection with your child until d-day.

You are the ones with spouses by your side the whole way.

You are the ones who are beasting through pregnancy and new parenthood all on your own.

You are the ones who were not expecting a little bundle but welcomed him or her with open arms and an open heart.

You are the ones who were expecting, hoping, praying, wishing, and begging for years upon years for your nugget to enter this world.

This one is for the mamas who can hang.

You know who you are.

You are the ones with a low milk supply who are trying every gosh darn tactic to boost it.

You are the ones who have an oversupply and stock milk banks.

You are the ones that feed, pump, eat, feed, pump, eat, and feed, pump, eat all day long to maintain a “just enough” amount of milk for your little tyke.

You are the ones that are exhausted, but showing up.

You are the ones that are showing up day after day after day.

You are the ones that no longer have any personal space.

You are the ones that unapologetically seek out personal space when necessary.

You are the ones that bury your stress under the overflowing pile of yet-to-be washed onesies and breastmilk-stained shirts.

You are the ones that wear every emotion and allow your tears to be visible.

You are the ones that feel weak.

You are the ones that are the epitome of strength and perseverance.

This one is for the mamas who can hang.

You know who you are.

You are the ones that decide to keep your child home with you until Kindergarten-age.

You are the ones that decide that a community or private preschool is a better choice.

You are the ones that volunteer at your child’s daycare and desire to be visible amongst the school’s educators.

You are the ones that don’t have the time or desire to make regular daycare visits but love your child just the same as the next mom.

You are the ones who, in addition to being their mother, are also your children’s educator and homeschool teacher.

You are the ones that sign your children up for activities to expand their opportunities and experiences.

You are the ones that allow and allot for lots of self-directed free play and independent-time for your child.

You are the ones that care so much whether or not your child is “on track.”

You are the ones that only give a hoot that your child is on his or her own track.

This one is for the mamas who can hang.

You know who you are.

You are the ones whose child is special needs.

You are the ones whose child is undiagnosed.

You are the ones whose child is different.

You are the ones whose child is the same.

You are the ones whose child is sensitive.

You are the ones whose child is seemingly “normal.”

You are the ones whose child is unique.

This one is for the mamas who can hang.

You know who you are.

You are the ones with daughters who are the epitome of karma and are just like you.

You are the ones with daughters who are so different from you that you struggle to understand them and stay connected.

You are the ones with daughters who have confidence.

You are the ones with a child who struggles with their identity.

You are the ones with sons who torment their sisters.

You are the ones with sons who are growing up next to their brothers.

You are the ones whose sons have a larger than life personality.

You are the ones whose sons feel small in a large, complicated world.

This one is for the mamas who can hang.

You know who you are.

You are the ones with one child whom you have made your world.

You are the ones with more than one child who find it challenging to spread your love and attention amongst the pack.

You are the ones whose children are young and whose journey is just beginning.

You are the ones whose children are teens and testing out different personalities, clothes, friends, likes, and dislikes.

You are the ones who children are in college, making you an empty-nester.

You are the ones whose adult children still reside with you.

You are the ones whose children are getting married.

You are the ones whose children have yet to find another to love romantically.

This one is for the mamas who can hang.

You know who you are.

You are the ones that work a lot and feel like you miss out on time with your kids.

You are the ones that spend all your time with your kids and harbor guilt for not working and “contributing” more outside of that.

You are the ones that support your family financially.

You are the ones that support your family emotionally.

You are the ones that, under the weight of supporting so many others, often forget to support yourself.

This one is for the mamas who can hang.

You know who you are.

You are the ones whose children are now adults.

You are the ones who children now have children.

You are the ones who long for grandchildren but were never blessed with them.

This one is for the mamas who can hang.

You know who you are.

You are every one of us.

You are the ones who are making YOUR decisions as you darn well please.

You are the ones that make those decisions while operating from a place of only wanting to ensure the stability, health, safety, and happiness of your offspring, your spouse, and lastly (of course) yourself.

You, mamas, are ones who can HANG and I’ll say this, there is no one I would rather hang with than one of you.

Keep hangin’, mamas because your mere existence supports, encourages, motivates, and inspire not only me but so many others.
