Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

Times are changing.

You are growing up right before my very eyes!

I look at you and the squishy baby boy I once knew is gone. The one who moved me to get moving postpartum; hours of time spent pounding the pavement while you strolled along.

We’ve entered a new phase in life. A milestone of sorts.

A phase in life where you are no longer content to sit in the stroller and simply stroll, you are now full of curiosity and a desire to explore.

Independently.

And it breaks my mama heart because I just don’t know where the time went.

So we unbuckle… …and we take it at your pace.

A pace that is slow but sneaked up on me so fast.

We weave back and forth along the same small stretch of walking path, where I can safely allow you to gain a little ground or lag a little behind. Where you take in all the sights, sounds, smells and textures of the nature that surrounds us.

Fostering that independence and satisfying your desire to explore.

We put names to the things you see, touch, hear and smell. I watch in awe, wondering how you are making sense of this big world around you.

A world meant for exploring.

Stay curious, little one. And I’ll do my best to give you every opportunity to learn and grow, too.
