When I hear STORM, I think PARTY! If bread and milk are your first two thoughts when learning of an impending storm, we need to rethink our relationship.

Some of my most memorable (foggy) memories took place trapped under many feet of snow. And although I jest about snow days taking years off my life, they can actually be amazing if you plan for the unexpected.

STEP ONE: SHOPPING

When there's a storm on the horizon, strap on your boots and hit the store. Food and alcohol are essential for success. Ditch the diet--you'll burn calories either shoveling or laughing with your friends. If you're going to be trapped with your kids and neighbors, you're going to need to consume.

I'm sure you're wondering: has Elease gone mad? No, she's a freaking genius.

STEP THREE: RELAX

STEP FOUR: HAVE A PARTY

Be sure to share your snow day memories with me!
