I truly believe that raising our children to be kind starts with teaching our children to treat others how they would like to be treated. We teach our children how to not only be kind but to live kind lives. We do utilize special moments where we have the boys pick out toys they would like to give to other boys and girls and donate them to Goodwill but I think our best lessons of kindness are in our daily lives.

If we lead by example and teach our kids to treat everyone with kindness in our daily lives being kind becomes their lifestyle. Every hug, every thank you card, every moment we take to spend making some else happy teaches our kids to not only be kind but to live kind lives.

Here is an example. It might seem small, Jackson building a train for his brother Henry, but after years of showing Jackson that it is kind to take time to bring a smile to his brother's face it will become part of his nature. He will live a kind life spreading joy and happiness everyday.
