So my big mom fail happened when my middle son was in kindergarten. I was in charge of the PTA teacher/staff appreciation luncheon. I was at school ALL day long. Saw and had conversations with his teachers. Stole a kiss and hug from him and a couple hugs from some of his classmates. Continued on the day enjoying the luncheon, the clean up, and headed home. As soon as my son came in the door. He says WHERE WERE YOU TODAY. I said what do you mean where was I? You saw me at school. I was at school all day I left at 2:10 and came home to start dinner and clean up a little before you came home. He said No mom I mean why were you not at my mother's day tea today.. I said WHAT, that was today. NO no,no, no. How could I have missed it it started at 2:15. I said oh baby I am so sorry, I forgot. He said you were the only mom not there. My teacher said she just saw you and you would be coming. When you didn't come she sat with me.. Oh, yeah here is your present. everyone else's mom got theirs at the tea. I felt horrible. I was at school all day, his teachers said Jess we just assumed you remembered you are ALWAYS involved and at everything and help out all the time. UGH> WORST MOM EVER..
