Grief has so many layers, some are ugly and others beam with all the beauty that life still has to offer.

Today, I’m thankful for how grief makes moments more meaningful.

Something as simple as a short stroll through the snow, can bring an abundance of laughter and warmth that reminds you of what’s really important.

If you’ve experienced the loss of a loved one recently, there’s no way to skip the process, you have to go through each layer, so cherish the beautiful days.

The warmth from the sweet layers will comfort you through the tough seasons where the pain of their absence attempts to tip the scale.

Next month will mark our first year without my brother(Ken Taylor), God is the only one that’s brought us this far.

The grace of it all is, you don’t have to navigate any of it alone and God tends to sprinkle constant signs of life around to remind you that there’s still so much to live for.

This is my dad and son, enjoying a snow day ❄️.

Choose to notice the simple pleasures of life and value them.

God trades beauty for ashes everyday.

Isaiah 61:3 “…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair”.
