It’s hard to tell which trip in my life has had the most profound impact on me so far, but it’s safe to say that at this point, travel has become a huge part of my life and has allowed me to expand my horizons in multiple ways that I never would have expected. But coming back from Dubai felt… different. It’s like this was the first time in my life that I’ve felt an actual change after coming back from a trip, and it’s taken me some time to fully figure it out.

Exciting Times

Excitement was all around me in Dubai, and I couldn’t even shake it off after leaving the UAE. There’s just something magical about the way the place works, and every time I was doing something, it felt fresh and full of energy. It’s hard to put this into words, but there’s just something about Dubai that managed to charge me up and didn’t let me go for quite some time!

The Beautiful Local Scenery

Not to mention how much there is to see if you’re a fan of nice scenery. There’s a reason many people appreciate the visual aesthetics of Dubai, and the place has attracted countless people with similar tastes who seemingly can’t get enough of it. It’s a nice mix between the old and the new, and it doesn’t seem like the locals have compromised their historic identity at any point so far. It’s simply amazing.

Friendly Locals

On that note, one should make it a po int to strike up some conversations when visiting Dubai. It doesn’t matter if you’re staying at a hotel, or if you’ve found some rooms & roommates in Dubai at Mate.ae – there are always opportunities to make new connections with locals, and it’s important to take full advantage of them during your stay here. The place certainly has a lot to offer to those with a more communicative mindset, and you never know when you might find yourself with a long-lasting relationship after coming here.

So Much to See and Do!

From gazing over the city from atop a high building with a shisha in my hand, to exploring the many winding streets of the city, there’s certainly no shortage of things one can explore around here. I quickly struck some friendships with people who were able to guide me around and show me the truly amazing secrets of the city, but I fully believe that I would have been able to have a good time even without that kind of help.

Dubai is a place everyone needs to experience at least once in their lifetime. It doesn’t matter when and how, the important thing is that you make the time for this in your life at some point. I personally find myself craving to come back, and it’s not unlikely that I’ll give it another go sometime in the near future. Perhaps not right now, as I still need some time to fully process the last experience I had there… but some day.
