Mourning My Oldest Child’s Senior Year in High School

Senior year is made up of once in a lifetime memories. For the class of 2020 this means they won’t get another opportunity to play that last season as captain of their favorite spring sport. No banquets, no inductions into the Cum Laude Society, no Prom and possibly the most painful, no graduation.

My daughter is also a Nationally Registered EMT and so badly wants to be out there fighting COVID-19. However, she knows her last few weeks of high school come first right now.

I’m so proud of my daughter and all she’s accomplished.
