My dear mother has always taught me to be very independent as a young boy, she had me washing dishes, clothes, ironing , etc. All by age nine. Whereas I noticed my friends mom did all of this for them, at the time I thought I had the meanest mom on the planet, but as I grew into a young man and now a mature man, by the way my lovely kids refer to me as thee old man. I realized there was a method to her so called madness & I love her dearly for those lessons of independence and now I do the same to my lovely seeds, of course , just like me they were resistant, but once they found out I wasn't going to flinch they joined my team. 😊 My mom use to always say a lazy child will become a lazy adult. Keep them straight & take care.
