Microwave Strawberry Jam

Nothing says spring like strawberry Jam. However the task can seem a bit daunting. Well not anymore with this easy microwave recipe using frozen whole strawberries. It turns out perfect every time.

Microwave Strawberry Jam

  • Yield: 1 pint

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen whole strawberries
  • 1 ½ Tbsp powdered pectin
  • 1 ¼ Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 ¼ sugar

Preparation

  1. In a large glass bowl place strawberries and pectin. Microwave for 12 min
  2. Add the lemon juice and sugar and stir until dissovled
  3. Microwave for 12 min at 60% power (very important to adjust the power setting)
  4. Stir and skim foam off the top
  5. Transfer to a sterilized mason jar and either store in the refrigerator or continue with the canning process
