I’m not pregnant.

Nope, I’m just a mom.

Ain’t no babies in that belly, but it’s housed four little people who are no longer hatchlings.

I should do more to shrink it.
Like exercise.
More salads.
Less cheese fries.
Sit ups and spandex.

You know what?
It’s time to take a break.
Take a break from letting your body rule your mind.
Take a break from whispering: You should be more. You need to be better. Don’t let yourself go.
Blah, blah, blah.

Say NO.

Goodbye to the voice that taps on your shoulder and says that the current version of you is just not good enough, not worthy and if only you just work harder, someday, you may be enough.

The best version of you is you in this moment and that belly?

It doesn’t define your heart.
