Interesting activities for teens over spring break (that aren't tons of work for parents)

I love spring break and getting more time with both my kids. I think I love the time with them even more now that they are teenagers, but at this age they like to spend much of their time doing the teenage sulking thing. Or begging to play more computer games - which I loathe.
I would love some ideas for fun activities that to do with the kids that don't involve video games or trips to strange specialty shops that will engage the kids and be enjoyable for the whole family!

For everyone else some one of our family favorite activities are board games or cooking contests.
