I am not a perfect mom. I even shy away from the title "great mom" when I get complimented on my motherhood.

I feel like motherhood is a complete journey. It reminds me of a class that you can never truly pass, because there is no textbook and no final exam. All you have is your instincts and experience, no manual. I will say though that I pride myself on my ability to be resilient. If I teach my children nothing else, through my living example, they will understand fully how to be resilient. Not the ability to be perfect, but being able to endure, recharge and start again.

Being a mother is certainly not easy. Being a career mom is even more challenging, but I keep going. It is important to show my children that they must dedicate themselves to what they want and what holds value to them. I value my children and I truly want to see them succeed in life. So I am dedicated to making sure that I help them to become self-sufficient and to receive the best in life. I get scared, I don't always make the best choices and I may even lose my cool, but I recover. I am also able to see my flaws as a mom and I work on improving them daily. I know I am doing well, not because my children make the best choices. However, when they make a bad choice they are able to hold themselves accountable. When I see them standing strong, taking action steps to make better choices and moving forward regardless of their obstacles; I know I am doing something right!
