Many students complain about too much homework and don’t do it because they consider it unnecessary. Teachers can not usually explain why homework is meaningful or they only explain it briefly: so that you have something to do. So why do assignments make sense? At school, you get homework every day.

Most students do not like to sit when the weather is nice and do homework. Many students wonder why homework is meaningful. Homework makes sense, as it can better control the student's learning. For students, homework is useful, as they can look up mistakes that improve their learning skills and fill knowledge gaps.

Furthermore, the students can better memorize what they have learned. Most importantly, you get routine and make fewer mistakes in your work. However, it is still to be said that many students don’t have time for it, since they can be busy with something else. It can be said that homework is useful.

Homework planning – pros and cons

Homework is useful and a necessary part of learning. In particular for weaker pupils, homework is indispensable, as an opportunity for subsequent understanding and practice. On the other hand, students with a higher school education are less dependent on homework. It is a part of the education to self-responsibility and employment, students learn thereby to work independently.

However, the execution has to be properly planned and done. If the tasks are only quickly smeared, squeezed between dinner and going to bed, or copied in the school bus or school break, then they bring less advantages. Those assignments show teachers what students have or have not understood, and where there is still the need for clarification and practice. The prerequisite for the teacher to be able to read this state of knowledge is, of course, that the students deal with their homework independently.

If the teacher essentially reads the result of the efforts of someone else, he does not receive the necessary feedback to the student's understanding. Students are not supposed to come to school or university with parents' or friends’ writing, but with their own. Working in groups to do the assignment is also not a bad idea. The fact that students are able to explain one another's work can be quite reasonable.

Factors for future success

Factors which are very good at predicting success are a good student-teacher relationship and certain learning techniques and of course homework. And even this little benefit is to be considered with caution - because it depends heavily on the amount of time the students have to invest in their homework.

On average, older and more powerful students would benefit more than primary school students and weaker students. There is no flat rate that can be applied to all students. Homework is something very individual. Nevertheless, teachers usually give the same computation and writing tasks to their entire class.

Sometimes, students seek help, like math homework help, which is completely fine. It shows that they are interested in completing the tasks on time.

Sure, no one likes to sit down after school at home and do homework for hours at the end, quite certainly not even the most ardent. Whether and how much homework is actually meaningful, there is also, rightly, much discussion. After all, one can spend time differently than with curiosity discussions or poem interpretations - unless the drudgery at home is actually worth somehow.

However, more than 60 minutes of homework were, according to the research, more counterproductive. Huge amounts of homework are not necessary. More important is the regularity of the tasks and independent and self-regulated work. And, most importantly, being alone when learning, discovering and dealing with frustration or lack of motivation is the best way to grow and improve in every field of education. It is not just about training and applying the knowledge, it is about doing homework, especially with practicing self-discipline.

Conclusion

The homework is a feedback for the school about the learning process of the students. If problems occur, the student can seek homework help. In doing so, the helper should discuss what they are doing and how, so the student can understand. In order for the student to concentrate better, a good working atmosphere should be ensured. Firstly, the desk should always be cleared, as well as all sounds in the room that can distract the student. So for the conclusion, students should do their homework, because it not only does them good but also prepares them for the future and other, more difficult assignments.
