Some days you just get by;

by the skin of your teeth,

on the piggyback of Happy Meals for all,

thanks to five cups of coffee,

by way of a much-needed phone call with a friend.

Some days you just get by;

thanks to

the beach,

UberEats,

Netflix,

social Zooming,

meme-sharing,

a steady round of tv movies,

texts with family,

popsicles,

an overload of electronic usage,

a drive-through donut stop,

pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the same day.

Some days you just get by.

Some days you're not

Mary Poppins,

Pinterest Patty,

or Homecooking Harriet.

Some days you're not

Patient Patricia,

Creative Christine,

or

Killin' it Kelly.

Heck, these days, sometimes you don't even feel like YOU.

Because life be like that during a global pandemic.

And that's okay.

Some days you're just gonna get by,

and it's going to take every ounce of

love,

energy,

and faith in your being to do just that.

But you'll do it, and you'll do it well 'cause you're a mama, and us, mamas, step to the MF-ing parenting plate

EVERY.

SINGLE.

DAY.
